Goodness Dental offers several recommended dental implant solutions: All-on-4 and its derivative solutions: All-on-5, All-on-6 and All-on-8.

At Goodness Dental, only a qualified, licensed maxillofacial surgeon or periodontist places dental implants for our patients. All dental implants come with a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee.

All-on-4

The All-on-4 dental implants process places 4 dental implants on each dental arch. A temporary fixed bridge or denture will attach to these implants providing patients with a full set of teeth. If the patient has sufficient bone density, placement of 5 or 6 implants increases stability for a more secure fit. The implants will integrate into the bone for a period of 4 to 6 months. During the healing process, the patient will use a temporary removable or fixed denture. After the four to six-month healing period, a fixed acrylic bridge or denture will be attached to the dental implants. The All on 4 is the most recommended dental implant solution for international patients coming to Costa Rica and Guatemala. Goodness Dental is ranked by CostaRicaDentalGuide.com as the #1 clinic for dental tourism. Goodness Dental is also the only American-owned dental clinic with a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee on dental implants.

All-on-6

In you have lost most of your natural teeth, the All on 6 may be the right solution to give you a beautiful, natural smile. This solution is recommended for patients that have sufficient bone to support six implants. At Goodness Dental, our specialists recommend the All on 6 procedure because we believe that it provides better strength and stability, resulting in a more comfortable and longer lasting smile. Each time you chew or bite, it's important that the pressure is dispersed evenly onto your implants and jaw. The six-implant solution provide a significant amount of added strength, stability and comfort.

All-on-8

The All on 8 dental implants system places eight dental implants on each dental arch for maximum stability and strength. These implants serve as "anchors" to attach a fixed dental bridge. Patients that have lost more than 80% of their natural teeth are the best candidates for an All-on-8. The eight dental implants will support a fixed dental bridge of 12 to 14 teeth. Patients must have sufficient jaw bone to sustain eight implants. Many patients that suffer from trauma may not have enough bone for eight implants. Bone grafts may be recommended to generate additional bone to support the implants.

Important Considerations:

Important Considerations

For the proper placement of dental implants in the upper or lower jaw, there are vital structures that must be protected, including the maxillary sinus in the upper jaw and the inferior alveolar nerve in the lower jaw. The bone height must be sufficient to fully support the implant. It is critical to have your implants placed by an experienced periodontist or maxillofacial surgeon.

Smoking adversely affects the healing process of the bone and tissue. Please discuss this with your dentist if you plan to get dental implants.

Tooth loss is often accompanied by the loss of jaw bone. Dental implants replace tooth roots to keep the bone stimulated and healthy, preventing the jaw from shrinking and reducing bone loss, preserving a natural jaw structure.

Not all jawbone locations are suitable for dental implants. Bone irregularities or bone loss may prevent you from being a good candidate. Some patients do not have sufficient bone for traditional implants and may receive Zygomatic implants. These are critical considerations that require the expertise of an experienced periodontist or maxillofacial surgeon.

Gingivitis and periodontitis must be considered before placing dental implants. If your gums appear red, swollen and bleed easily, you may have Gingivitis. Periodontitis affects the jawbone and may result in bone loss. These conditions could compromise the success of dental implant treatment.
